Notes from a consultant who travels too much
and eats even more.
I am, on most days, a person trying to be in three places at once.
Ambition has shaped most of my life. I want to be the best at the thing I'm doing, and then I usually want to be doing something else — which is how I've ended up with a strategy career, three majors, a soon-to-be MBA from Booth, and a passport that's running out of pages. It's a useful kind of restlessness. It keeps me building.
I'm curious about almost everything, and I try to channel it rather than chase it. Curiosity without direction is a hobby; curiosity with intent is a craft. Most of what I make — the projects, the photographs, the lists, the side bets — comes out of that conversion. This site is most of where it lands.
I travel constantly, eat enthusiastically, design things on the side, and shoot most of what I see. I'm loyal to a small group of people and curious about everyone else. I take the work seriously. I take the dinner seriously too.
If you're reading this, you probably already know me, or you're trying to. Either way: hello.

The best ideas usually start as a coffee, a long walk, or a half-formed text. I'm easy to reach.
